Maybe I can keep some things and still fish from other folks boats on the agreement no racing across the lake or
see if they can bounce me out of the boat. I can look back before my Dad passed and know what he was going through
and understand what he was missing seeing he also grew up on Pick Wick Lake and how he was watching me fishing, and
how much fun we both had together fishing.
This is got to be the hardest thing any angler has to go through other than that last cast or that last fishing
trip. As long as I can walk and have at least one good arm to hold a pole I will make that fishing trip even if I
have to have someone prop me up or tie me to a chair.
They have not laid me down yet and I already have people want me to leave them items
to remember me by, so why can't we just go fishing right now take pictures and enjoy the time that we have no
matter if we catch a bunch or just a few.
I once had a buddy that I use to beat every time we went fishing until one day he had
picked up alot of my tricks after watching me and copying what I was doing and other tricks he had learned from
other anglers and started beating me like a red headed step child.
I did not mind and explained that I had caught so many fish that I was proud that he had improved way beyond when
we started out together. After all, this is the guy that told me he could not cast a Bait Caster at Bass Pro on a
Saturday and two hours later on Sunday Morning he was casting away and owns more that 30 plus Bait Casters now. I
am the same I always ask myself why so many rods and the only answer I have is a different lure on each rod, that
way I do not have to stop fishing to tie on a different lure it is already on a different rod.
